Beginning in Osaka, Japan from Kansai International Airport to Haneda Airport in Tokyo. From Tokyo, it was then on to Colombo, Sri Lanka on Srilankan Airlines for a one-day stopover stay at the Marino Beach Hotel.
The beginning of a 7-flight journey around the world in business class on four different airlines. The idea for this trip was largely inspired by a March 2019 article from The Points Guy, “The Hardest Airline Miles to Earn and Why You Want Them”.
Following the information from that article, Kansai Fixer used 120,000 JAL Mileage bank miles with $530 USD in taxes and fees to book the trip through Japan Airlines OneWorld Award ticketing system.
